Our Story
W.E.L.D. is the product of a dream and a need. We have always wanted to own our own business and while living in the Lochmere Neighborhood we saw the need for a place to hang out with friends, family and neighbors. Our ultimate goal is to create a neighborhood hang out where you can always find a friend and a warm welcome.
We often get asked what W.E.L.D stands for. As this is our family business, we saw it fitting to give a nod to our family in the name. W.E.L.D. stands for Waylon, Esme, Laura & Darin. We hope as you spend time here you get to know us and as we get to know you.
Meet the Owners
Darin, Owner
Darin has worked in the brewery industry for over 8 years. He started brewing at a small micro-brewery in Florida in 2015. Upon moving to Cary in 2017 he joined the Raleigh Brewing Company sales team and was promoted to Sales Manager in 2019. He left RBC earlier this year to pursue his dream, W.E.L.D. He hopes to bring his beer and industry knowledge to educate and enhance your experience.
Laura, Owner
Laura has worked in retail sales and management for over 14 years and has been enjoying a good glass of wine for over 17 years. She hopes to bring her focus to the customer experience at W.E.L.D ensuring you always have exceptional service and a great glass of wine.
